I think modern films are reasonably good, and we're already had some classics this decade*, but the 80s had plenty of really good films*. You're not imagining things, TC. Nor is it rose-tinted spectacles, because I was born too late to really see 80s films at the time, and I suspect you were as well. 80s films are better than mdoern films.

At this point, the only reason to own a Wii U is Xenoblade X, Tokyo Mirage Waifus, Fatal Frame, and the only official way to play the original Mother.

Mother fucking Mario World 3D. Played it last month and it's fantastic. No clue why it's not getting ported.

My least favourite main series 3D Mario. Still very good, but not like the others.

Does anyone own Captain Toad for the Switch? I was curious, how many extra levels does it have? I had a very good time with it for the Wii U, but I doubt very much it has enough extra levels to justify buying it for the Switch as well.

I'm actually really surprised at Treasure. I thought it was going to be a lot like Gunstar Heroes, but with more emphasis on bosses. Instead, there's a game that is much too hard right from the beginning, the guns run out of ammo almost straight away, an awkward weapon select system that can get you killed, and a camera that's so zoomed in you can barely see anything or move around easily.

Wtf is this? From the same people that brought as Gunstar Heroes, and that McDonalds shoot-em-up? Even Ikaruga was better than this. Now I see why it bombed.

No. Do you mean that book by Kazuo Ishirugo? I read half of the first page in a bookstore, saw it was basically fantasy, and put it down. I've read most of his books, though, and generally enjoyed them. At least one I've read a few times.
